I have to agree with you about the power button. On the 2012 Brammo Enertia Plus, they have done away with the power button. As for removing the seat, I almost never do. Instead, they have left a small gap at the aft end of the seat and I leave about two inches of the cord-end hanging out. Then, when I pull into my garage, I bring over a 6' extension cord from the wall, plug in my bike, and charge. I think most of the Enertia owners I'm aware of do about the same thing.
