A Brief Illustrated History Of Automotive Aerodynamics – Part1
Hello -
Here's an article I am sure you will enjoy :
A Brief Illustrated History Of Automotive Aerodynamics – Part1 | The Truth About Cars
Quote:
The T77 was measured to have a Cd of .212, a number that was not broken by a production car until GM’s EV-1 of 1995, which measured at .195. A remarkable achievement, the long-tailed T77 was powered by a rear air-cooled V8, and began a long series of Tatras until the 1980’s along similar lines.

You know you're an EcoModder when you read this line from the article's intro....
Quote:
We’ve finally arrived at the place where a highly aerodynamic car like the Prius is mainstream.
|
...and you fundamentally disagree with the notion that the Prius is "highly aerodynamic."

Yes, thanks, I remember that too. That was posted long time ago in a thread far far away ... I'll quote it if I find it.

Part 2:
A Brief Illustrated History Of Automotive Aerodynamics – Part 2 | The Truth About Cars
Thanks, cfg83; I read it yesterday before leaving work. I didn't bother to check back here because I knew it had been out for a bit (I have TTAC on RSS) and figured someone will have posted it.
