broke 50mpg on a tank!

I was excited to fill up this morning and calculate 50.24 mpg. Way better than my previous best of 44.8. The main changes made were a air dam w/ partial grill block and I lowered the car another inch. Is it typical to see this big of an increase from those mods? 50 was my goal, new goal is 58. That would be 1 gallon for a round trip to work and back. Gotta love the Nissan!

It seems crazy that you have to run a gallon of gas every day, paying 3.XX just to get to work and back... Makes me cringe at my commute burning 4gal a day, though it is much better then the 8.5gal a day I was burning just over a month ago! Awesome achievement! I am jealous, as my goal is 40mpg/tank but I don't think I'll be hitting that goal til summer comes around!

Good going. I am sure you can reach the new goal with some mods.

Congrats! That was my same goal since I purchased my Golf TDI this summer. Extra impressive that you hit that threshold with your Sentra. I remember having a 92 Sentra SE-R but I think the best I could do on fuel economy on that one was 32 MPG (of course I wasn't trying back then).

Thanks. I just got done redoing my grill block. Should help. Went from the front of the bumper to the top of the grill. Just one advantage of having a car you are not afraid to run screws into. Lol

Wow, impressive mileage. I had a 92 Sentra and always seemed to get 27-28 mpg...
