How do I keep my UG on?

I just installed a cut-off switch on my 97 metro per the way it's instructed here, through the fuel injector fuse.... But my UG shuts off when I turn it off. I thought the UG would stay on.... Is there a cut-off procedure where I can keep it on? NOTE: I had to bypass the relay cause the one I bought was bad. Is that the issue?

play around with the UG's power on/off options. there is a way to keep the UG on when the ignition is on run its different per car/make/model. Just make sure it turns off when the ignition is off or it could drain the battery in the matter of 48hours

Page 44 of the UG manual have the different power on/off modes, hopefully this will help. It looks like getting it to stay on is the easy part, getting it to turn off may be the trick.
