A simple “u” or a “v” with a loop at the angle with the ends of the wire bent 90 degrees inserted into a shallow holes drilled in the top edge of the brake pads steel backing plate.

I remember that one. Great build, would never fit in my carport.

Do you remember who's car that was at Permalinke #38?

My wheel of choice is the Honda Insight wheel (2000-2006). The Bridgestone tires that came on them were among the lowest rolling resistance on any production car, past or present, and the 165/65r14 tires + wheels are only ~22-23lbs, and have great aero. They're also a hair larger (22.4 vs 21.8).

I like them but isn't an Insight wheel bolt pattern 4x100 instead of the Metro's 4x114.3?
13 lb tire weight is pretty good, and if I located a nice lightweight wheel with 4x114.3 bolt pattern I would have my dream team of tires

I had lunch with Dave a long time ago in Seattle. I saw the Dolphin in person at a Geo-Metro NW and Swift meet with several Canadian’s in attendance! That was many many years ago.

In some alternate Universe I posted a picture on Ecomodder that I took at the Eugene Electrathon races of Dave Cloud's stretch Metro. Google can't find it, I can't find it in my albums -- fortunately DuckDuckGo offers one pic:

I talked to the guy that owned this, must have been Dave Cloud. They were busy racing.
