Road train!

Ya know, when you think about it:
  • Japanese Decotora Trucks
  • Wurlitzer Juke Box
  • Burning Man

Neon tubing on the front window shield, bubble columns, spinning disco lights.

Or not.

I got some more done. Framed the upper part with conduit and covered it in stryofoam Redneck style, although mine doesn't look as good as his.
I also added a 2nd coat of more eye appealing paint. When the top is raised it makes it into a nice picknic area.

Nice! How is the top of the box for a workspace height when you stand at it? It looks about right.

Kegs in the box and taps that tuck up under the canopy when it's down.

It's just painted OSB, I was just using lefteover paint I have lying around. I may cover it next year in canvas and paint or glue but this paint was decient exterior paint and should hold up pretty good, I'll tarp the whole thing when not in use.
The height of the box is counter height and the "awning" is above my head when up so makes a great picnic bar or ice cream stand I told my daughter.
I'll never recover the cost as I'm over $200 in this, but I mainly wanted more dry storage and figured it might as well help aero.

Canvas it now. Painted OSB won't last a year.

*the foregoing is personal opinion.

I built an OSB playhouse for my daughter in the back yard 5 years ago and just painted it and it's holding up fine, the sprinkler even hits it. I figured it would be disinegrated by now but it's hardly lifting. I think they use much better glues in OSB then they used to.

YMMMV, of course.

So I guess the kegs are out.

I like Plasti-Dip S over canvas. It's about $40, requires no primer, and dried to something like an expertly installed vinyl wrap. Except you can pile on coats until you're happy. You can spray it over a wide variety of materials to unify the appearance right down to the aluminum tape.

It comes from Plasti-Dip in basic colors, but dipyourcar.com has every color of the rainbow from camo to pearlized flip-flop top coats.

I think there is a picture in my albums of thick Plasti-Dip.

Yup.

I've bought the plastidip spray cans in white and black before, are you talking spray on or brush on? Do you think a gallon would cover it?
