Carbon Nanotube Body Panels

Has anyone tried this? I figure they would be super light.

My guess is that a single panel made out of them would probably be north of the value of most new cars.

I didn't know this was DIY tech? Can I also build a transporter? That would really cut down on the gas usage!

Unity car uses them to keep weight down (the whole car is 1000lbs).

There is a smattering of papers on how to make your own carbon substrate (google them). Maybe if someone made a garage lab or something.

Carbon fiber and carbon nanotubes are absolutely not the same thing.
