I've not seen a side view of the car like this. Thanks! I'd like to see a view from above, however,if they were very careful with the cooling system,0.12 might be realistic.Roof looks a little "fast",but with front wheels faired and full tail, the EV-1 might have done this at Ft.Stockton,so I'll defer to their numbers. If it had Cd 0.124 they could call it 0.12.She's a beauty!

Frank,I've got an article about Western Washington University and Dr.Michael Seal's Viking cars. They explain that the lightweight of the cars were a concern, and the body took its shape from an inverted airfoil profile, which promoted greater ground-clearance and undercar flow to develop negative lift and help keep the cars firmly planted.

I've always read about upturned front ends being bad for lift.
The '63 Stingrays had a horrible reputation for 'floating' due to their upturned nose.
Hmmm

Are you guys clicking that link ? There are a lot more high res. images on that site from different angles.
I'm trying to be friendly to the folks that are using dial-up.
If I link the images here, how much does it slow down the folks on dial-up ?
Also, my understanding is that it is a bad practice to 'hotlink' images. Can you guys explain this ?

Once upon a time I "hotlinked" an image. Somehow the host knows when that happens. Some hosts take offense (Why? I dunno. It's on the net fer gosh sakes.). Some hosts will then sub something disgusting (deviant porn perhaps?) for the original image. Then you come on to the forum the next day to find everyone yelling at you.
From then on, I drop images into Photobucket.

Friend of mine has a 63 stingray. He describes speeds over 100 as driving a low flying airplane! Yah, they don't handle too well at those speeds. Pretty amazing car with IFS in the rear and some had mechnical fuel injection too.
as for hotlinking pics...I think it may take some of that website's bandwith so that may be why they get a little upset...
As for the 1964 car (subject of this thread), its amazing they came up with stuff that long ago then it just got ignored and we ended up with SO many gas hogs.
