I switched to GPS for my speedometer a few years ago when the old speedo died in my VW van. It was cheaper than a replacement speedo.

harbor freight buys a lot of liquidations, stuff dont last forever.

call your local group and ask for stock, they may have it at a retail location.

btw, i didnt have the option with GPS, i get an engine code in my Geo when the friggin speedo cable breaks.
