Depends on RPM's when cruising, but probably would not help. Increasing the plenum size with a spacer would raise the torque peak. Stock 350 dual plane intakes are tuned to produce peak torque from idle-4000.

Yes, 4bbs are essentially 2bbs at part throttle. Barrel size varies, spread bores have smaller primaries than square bores. From what I remember, the Q-Jet primaries are significantly smaller than the 2bbl barrels.

It's been forevah since I've driven other 4bbls, but on my Q-Jet I can feel a difference in the pedal when the secondaries are opening. The springs on the 2ndaries are fairly strong on my carb, so I can tell obviously when they're opening.

Helps keep you out of them if needed.
