Hiya,

The dimples in the golf ball lower the coefficient of drag, which is multiplied by the area to get CdA; or total drag.

The "all else being equal" completely changes the statement, as the Cd of the mirrors could be and most likely is, sustantialy different from the body.

A rectangular block with the same frontal area as the Volt will not have the same drag even thought the frontal area is identical.

Have you designed a car lately?

Has anyone else noticed that the steering wheel on the newest Volt looks almost exactly like the one on the new Civic ?

( Regarding the exterior : I think the Volt now looks like the Honda Civic and Chevy Malibu had a baby together. )

What is the basis of that affirmation? I don't see how you were able to determine that (that they operate in their own airflow).
At an estimated Reynolds number of 270,000 or so, you'd certainly think so.

A YouTube video responce I found

Here is a video responce to the launching of Chevvy Volt by a guy who's been developing a working HHO application (and documenting it well too).

I'm not saying I agree or not, just thought his view might add another line of thought to the current mix.

It seems that I'm too daft to embed this video, so just follow this
