Nice numbers and smart mods. I have never seen a D16y4 before. That must be a New Zealand and Aussie specific model or something. How are doing the mod "low friction brakes"? It sounds interesting.

See my car's mod & maintenance thread and my electric bicycle's thread for ongoing projects. I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

Hi, yes d16y4 is audm nzdm and possibly a few other markets. It is basically a sohc zc or usdm d16a6.

My low friction brake mods are just oem brakes, pads and rotors which I have cleaned up to ensure low drag.

I think my best mod is my old hard Bridgestone tyres. I getting to the point now where a 23km/l average is very close.

This is my normal daily driving, summer, and I still enjoy my driving while hypermiling. Quite often I will still hit the redline as the car accelerates pretty good.

Mpguino is awesome, it has allowed me to explore techniques and i now drive up hills fast, not accelerating but maintain a much higher speed than i did before mpguino.
