Civic vx seats vs civic hx seats.

My vx seats seem to be a bit rigid for longer drives. People always talk abou throwing in integra or del sol seats. I just sat in the drivers seat of my buddy's 1997 civic hx and they seem softer! They would fit right? Any thoughts ? Insight? Oh I would love to have a Honda insight!

Most of those seats are not a direct fit but if you own a drill and a hack saw you can make "adapters" by taking a chunk of steel bar stock and bolting it to the floor of the car where the seat bolts in, then drilling holes in it where the new seat needs to bolt in.

civic seats generally swap within the generations.

they swap across generations generally, except for seat belts. sometimes you have to figure out a mounting deal for the lap belt.

accord seats seem to swap more easily.

the si's in the early 90's had recarros stock.

I believe all of the seats from 96-00 civics are the same excpect for the civic si. The si seats had added adjustability (maybe EX did too?). So you are not looking for just HX seats so that helps your search. Having owned basically all of the 90's Hondas I can tell you that my favorite seat is the Del Sol seat. It holds you in so well and was very comfortable because of all the support. Its not the softest thing though so its still going to fall under "rigid". Integra seats are nice especially the leather ones from the GSR.

Go ahead and assume if you find the 96-00 civic seats that they will fit, and if not only a few modifications will need to be done. Hope you find a more comfortable seat.
