Civic vx trailer hitch

Been doing a lot of research on this and would like to know what hitch you guys use with civic vxs. I dont want to use the one that bolts in through the spare tire cover, has anyone used the sedan hitch on a hatchback? the sedan one bolts to the frame rails which i would prefer. any suggestions or feedback. Im only going to be hauling 2 bikes with it. was considering a roof rack but would prefer a trailer hitch.

There's probably good reason why Honda/ towbar mfg's designed two separate hitches. Chances are using the wrong one will foul something, even if all the mounting points are there.

Hitches are vehicle specific. I wouldn't recommend using a hitch that's made for a sedan on a hatchback. From what I found, Hitchweb has 1 hitch for your vehicle listed at hitchweb dot com. Unfortunately, since I am new I cannot post links but if you go to that website and look up your vehicle specifications you will see the hitch I am referring to.

This hitch has a tongue weight of 200 lbs. As long as your bike rack and bikes do not exceed 200 lbs then you should be fine
