Fine... do the doors like an RX-8, where the back doors are suicide style, but only open when the fronts are open. Either way, it would be better off with more access area.

PS - I could get 50 in a Mini Cooper S if I tried... and have a smile that wasn't caused by my knees holding my face in that position when I got out.

Peter has a good point. Tempos are a good example of 4-doors where the door openings are marginal (kinda short front-to-back) but the 2-door version is just fine.

Never had an issue with my Topaz's 4 doors... I felt they were of ample size to allow access to the seating/storage in the vehicle.

I'd call them "adequate".

Agree... but the car isn't a luxury car... and the "sport" model was a joke, so doors were probably the last consideration on the list of things to work into the design.

At any rate, I wouldn't want to deal with doors any smaller than those.

Its a modern take on the Bambina, and considerably larger too.

I dont like stubby cars when longer and lower handle better and have better FE.

Hedgehogs are not very sporty either

Shame you guys don't get the full Fiat range, their quality range is hugely improved now that they have EX BMW, VW and Mrec Guys running the quality dept. they kinda had to pull their socks up with their ferrari image being important!

just a taste of what you missing out on:
the panda (63.52MPGus)- same floor pan as the 500 but hugely versitile

they even do a 4x4 version!!!

EDIT: sorry don't know if you guy's will get the oil burners!

The Punto -
Can be bought with the same 1.3l diesel as the 500 (same as the one that should be in the saturn astra) but it gives better mileage in the punto due to better aero(67.19MPGus v's 65.35MPGus).

That looks beautiful... Slap a grill block or two on it, and a small kamm back... oh yeah!
