Maybe the kitchen isn't the best spot, unless you want a grow light in the room.
Keeping a printer running in the PNW is difficult because the filament absorbs moisture, but isn't Aridzona famous for it's dry air? Elsewise, the hard part is picking a design from what's available. https://www.yeggi.com/q/strawberry+pot/

People always say "It's a dry heat."
Blast furnace, torch, hair dryer, and the center of the sun are all dry heats.
That kitchen wall is about the only wall in the house without stuff all over it. Mom has a few decorations which I would move out of the way.
I don't mind the idea of a grow light, but I also liked the grow light that Mom made me buy--and then return.

I didn't realize this is an hour 10 minutes!
I never heard of anything like this. Linus had videos where he had several people using one computer, but it was an overpowered beast.
This guy used what was a cheap computer back in the day and had 6 terminals running off of one computer!
...and he mentioned multiple ways that it violated not only Microsoft's license, but Adobe's as well, but how would you install multiple copies of the same program in order to use multiple licenses?
He talked about how anyone getting sued by Microsoft or Nintendo loses because Microsoft or Nintendo wanted them to, but Microsoft never sued--and then made their own version: https://www.youtube.com/user/msmultipoint

I made it to 14:10. It sounds like a glorified KVM switch.
The presentation starts out very Microsoft/Google-centric. He did say it works under Linux, does he assess how it works with free and open source software? Because any third-world school should be wary of proprietary OSes.

Command strips are expensive.
Gardening/green thumbing is a hobby. If people don't keep their plants alive, that isn't a hobby interesting enough for them. Pick something else then.

Every KVM switch I have seen used one keyboard, mouse, and monitor for multiple computers.
This connects multiple keyboards, mice, and monitors to one computer and allows multiple people to use one computer simultaneously.
Here is the Microsoft version:

Paused at 1:46.This is a 2011 video describing a server/thin client architecture. With the clients reduced to a card in a slot.
Which is why I said 'glorified KVM switch'.

The best trick was Mouse Without Borders, which allows the mouse and keyboard control to pass between computers/screens by simply mousing over to it. While I sat on the couch with my laptop, I could mouse over to the HTPC which was connected to the TV and select what show I wanted on in the background.
