Thanks for the additional links/info, guys.

Updated post#1 and added a few other new (old) ones that I found.

We're up to 24 examples.

1988 Texas Tech SAE Paper

If no one beats me to it,we should probably scan the pickup truck "aeroshell" graphic from Texas Tech's Department of Mechanical Engineering' Aerodynamics Laboratory's Dr.Timothy Maxwell et al.'s who's SAE Paper of 1988,depicts their original "aeroshell",streamlined cap from which I drew my inspiration.

Just poking this thread to ask if we're still up to date.

Why? Because Jack McCornack linked to it in his latest Mother Earth article (in which we find his "MPX (Mother's Pickup eXperiment)" with aerocap, of course.

Great post, I hadn't seen it before.

Anyone ever do one for boattails? I was just thinking about trying to do one...

Mother of the 'Aeroshell'?

Here is the 1976 Ford/Ghia 'Prima' 2-seat concept. The vehicle could be configured as a pickup with a fastback bedcover.
This is the earliest I've seen of a 'Aeroshell.'

I have the tail-lights of one of these to use on a trailer. If I had the whole car, I could do a clone of the VW GTi-650-W12. (a bubble-top coupe/external wing)
