EV Performance
sells a shop manual for the citi and commuta-cars, I have a copy of it and it's great, it's basicly a pile of all the info they could find, including paint codes, wiring diagrams, and lots of other info.

Found a Comutacar a 2 hour drive away from where I live and looked at it, its in very rough shape guy wanted $1500 but I can get it for $500. Think that's a good deal?

Cons:
Missing windshield
Charger has been cut
rear battery cable was cut
side windows are splintered and stuck in their tracks due to age
no title
body has tiny cracks all over
Did not run

It would be a good deal if they were paying you to haul it off. Ask your self if you have the resources and motivation to complete a major undertaking such as this. Other have started and completed projects with less to start from. Just be honest with yourself and be sure this is the project for you. If you go for it be sure to start a build thread.

Depends on how hard it is to get good clear title to it. That's a deal breaker for me.

Everything else is time, $, effort.
