Not good advise I am afraid Coroplast is very finicky regarding adhesives.

My back ground is plastics and yours?
I did say adhesives of your choice, what you use is your choice and not mine, mate!

duck tape or similar will work, also staples can be used, depending on the sort of bond you want.

most general purpose glues that are suitable for plastic should work fairly well.

just make sure the parts overlap or there's a third trip on the back if you want a fluch fit.
if you really want to be sure punch trough some staples and cover the seem with some tape... if that comes loose you'll probably want to use a slingle piece or another material

I did not mean to offend.
I am an electronic tech.
My experience is hobby level working with Coroplast in high stress use, my take is that choice of adhesive is very important especially if going for a butt joint, overlaps are a lot easier.
Re-reading your reply I think that you were just suggesting the prep requirements and I misunderstood the wording?
Cheers

I've used hot glue and silicone. Both did the job.

how abut sewing it?
I have some strips of coroplast at work that I'll have to play around with, I was thinking PVC cement might work, we use it at work under slaps of stone so we can slide them around on the work table, a few strips of the stuff under a 1,200 pound sheet of granite makes it so one person can move it.

I would have to agree, I have found it challenging to bond Coroplast as well. I did not find your post offensive at all, that is why we have a forum - so folks can engage in a friendly exchange of ideas and methods. My "background" is to make it work, often by relying on mine and other's experiences.
