My mom drove a sleeper cab semi for years, before switching to hauling asphalt in a tri axle dump truck. Thank goodness the designers of both didn't share your attitude.

There are always exceptions to a rule.

There are a lot of women school bus drivers, those are pretty big.

Then there are city buses.

I drove school buses for five and a half years. I never felt any one group was represented more than any other, although I wondered how our shortest drivers reached the two-way radio.

My mother drove school bus when I was in high school. It parked at home and I swept it out every night. And she drove a municipal bus to the Portland ship yards in WWII.

Back before everyone was all equal and everything.

What percentage of semi drivers are women? 1,2 percent?

And what health problems do they incur as a result, with consequences more serious than those incurred by men? Unlike a bus, most jobs involve loading or unloading to some degree.

Try your cheapshot "virtue" elsewhere. Anyone with a grasp of fact wouldn't want women in jobs worse for them on account of sex.

Sorry, I didn't know my mother's career was a cheap shot "virtue."

And here I thought it was a factual account of someone who did benefit from manufacturers accommodating all sizes of people.

Oops, my bad.

Same stunt, huh? Haven't bothered with any research on job effects in women versus men, have you? No more concern for your mother than for women in general?
