debut: Nissan Ariya, BEV

On Tokyo's NHK Television this morning, they did a piece on Nissan's new BEV, the Ariya,with around 300-mile range.

Similar to a dozen other SUVs / CUVs already on the market. Which was their strategy. They didn't want it to look like the ' LEAF' and they've succeeded. Lets see if they can match LEAF's Cd 0.28, or come in below it. I think the Porsche Taycan Turbo currently holds the aero throne, at Cd 0.22. As far as range goes, Tesla Motors remains the benchmark. Reverse-engineered alien technology!

Even though I take EVs with a grain of salt, I must confess the LEAF looks quite nice. Had that design been applied to a hybrid instead, that could be a great contender to the Prius.
