Hey ollie, Why don't you keep a log, after all if is one thing you can feel much better about, with figures like that...

I should do that fuel log....
Re: the vac resevoir. Didn't someone here do it with some pvc pipe and blanked the ends? IIRC he got a good improvement in his brake assist. I wouldn't personally do it due to insurance concerns though.

Yeah, you can also just take a vacuum canister from an older car... it's a coffee can with a nipple fitting in it that a vacuum line connects to.

If you have a side-rail can opener, you can glue the lid back on when you're done w/ the can and make one yourself.

Or you could just go to the gym and do a few leg exercises. The brakes do work fine (at least on every vehicle that I've driven) without the power assist. You just have to change your expectations away from feather touches on the pedal locking up all four wheels :-)

Wish I had more DFCO on my vehicles, but they are all old. The Celeb takes rare conditions to do it. The wagon does it even less. The van won't do it at all.

I don't think most automatics have it (DFCO) at all... simply b/c even when you're over a given RPM, if you turn the key off, the engine still revs all the way down. There are rare occasions where it doesn't.

Hondas are very quick to DFCO. I know other brands are not, though. My Odyssey will hold it in gear and DFCO except in certain special conditions. I'm always shifting between D and N because of the major engine braking it does. Most of the time I wish it was designed not to.
