Did you guys know?

Did y'all know that there is a federal warranty on Cat converters (and other parts) that covers them 8 yrs 80,000miles. My cat just bit the dust and Im happy I found out about this warranty the day before I took it to the dealership to get it repaired bc Im almost certain that the dealership wouldnt have said anything about it

8-80 on "major" emissions components (federal). Should be in the owners manual.

i'm one of the guys that puts them on... lose my butt cause ya get paid warranty time, the gm N and W bodies near the 8/80 mark the bolts near the rear end of the cat are rusted horribly, bolts that were originally 13mm that i use a 1/2 or 12mm socket on.. after you get em glowing red with a torch... and swappin over the rear O2... i get 1/2hr pay sucks for me but itsa good deal for the customers

guess this is more of a rant than hard data...
