which diesel engines rotate clockwise?
I am looking for a diesel engine for my truck and can't seem to find one that rotates clockwise. Some that I have found don't even say which direction.
Any help would be appreciated. 4-6 cylinders, preferably less than 1,000 lbs.
About 100 HP would be good. Lots of torque is always a plus.

well, you could possibly look at some toyota diesels. the ones Ive come across are 4.3L 6cyl.
although I dont know their rotation, they are for RWD vehicles, they are also pricey.

Conrads auto salvage (about 10 miles away from you) has a diesel core with no heads that bolts in to an F-250.

I don't know of any that don't rotate clockwise. But it sounds like you might be happy with the CRD engine from a Jeep Liberty. 2.8 liters, 295 ft-lbs, 163 hp. It works amazing in my Jeep, about 4500 lbs.

Looking at the front of the motor, the belts and pulleys will rotate clockwise. There are only a few engines that run counter-clockwise (such as in boats to reverse and planes with propellers) 6.9 idi turbo diesel? What engine does it have now being an F-250, the 302 5.0 or 5.8 351W? A 87 6.9 liter idi with an ATS turbocharger backed by a ZF 5 speed and some proper rear gears would be sweet! Should be an easy bolt in too. Swapping in a different engine from a different manufacturer would cause issues. Mounting the engine and transmission, plumbing exhaust to not hit the new mounts, getting the proper driveshaft / transmission angle correct, routing the accessory drives (alt, water pump, power steering) etc. Put a 350 Chevy Vortec & 700R4 into a 1987 Toyota Supra, there's alot involved with a hybrid.

It has the 4.9L I6. It rotates clockwise on the flywheel.
