I have $4500, but it is not laying around and my $650 GZ250 gets 85 MPG and can even handle traffic on the Interstate at 70+ MPH, probably better than I can.

wonder how they mated the trans to the engine on the one without the CVT.

It was easier in older bikes which had their crankcases and transmissions into separated casts, just like Harley-Davidson still does in almost all of its models (IIRC just the Sportster and that smaller ones made in India have crankcase and transmission integrated into the same cast).

Why was the listing "flagged for removal"? What terms did the seller violate?

Okay what other option exist for diesel motorcycles?
Don't they sell them in Europe?

(1) that's CL for ya. you can still look them up. they have a site.
(2)yes. India has a ton of them. if you have connections, you can make some money.
