Digging Around the Government Auctions for a New Project Car

I'm looking for another project to eat my life after I get done with Slambo. The government auctions fascinate me. I shot this video at a local GSA auction this week and was blown away by some of the low prices.

There are lots of possibilities. Maybe a Police Impala. I'd consider a Charger, but the prices were significantly higher, definitely out of my ballpark.

I've seen a bunch of Fusion and Escape Hybrids. The newer Focus are starting to show up, but only the four doors. Wish the Fed bought hatchbacks.

Many locals and states are on Publicsurplus.com we bought a 2007 Impala police car there with 90k for $3700 but that was 4 years ago, now the 2010 and 11s are about the same. The 2011 is the one to get, last year that style but only year with the new 3.6.
