DIY enclosed single-seater reverse trike

I swear this is the last video that I am watching that YouTube suggested while I logged out.

It is curious, he usually gestures what is is going to do instead of saying, presumably because he has an accent, and not everybody understands English (with or without an accent), but I don't necessarily understand what he means, and then he does it, so I don't understand why he gestures in the first place: Then people convinced him to convert it into a trike, so he did a quadruple brain transplant with an ATV.

Sid would be proud! Some of his other videos are interesting. He built an engine from scratch with a new type of intake and exhaust, but it didn't work by the time he finished the first video.

He increased tolerances over and over in the second video and finally got it to work, but so far he hasn't done anything with it.

He made a katana out of titanium--he epoxied a piece of epoxy between 2 of steel, and then used other metals, like he put bronze dowels into beveled holes he drilled into the blade, hammered them, and then ground them, so the plugs flared around the bevels.

I don't know if this was easier than buying one piece of titanium three times as thick, just that it was probably cheaper.

I thought it made for a cooler video, too.

for the craftmanship. I appreciate anyone who can get anything done and still retain the majority of their fingers

A few loose thoughts I had:
  • Clean up the back! It is begging for a Kamm shape.
  • The initial 2-wheel version definitely gets better milage than the 3-wheel (assuming it stays upright).
  • I wonder how hot it gets in there? Even without the sun on the greenhouse, it would get hot and stuffy from body heat.

An ATV wouldn't be a good basis for a fuel-efficient commuter and he needs some kind of airflow!

He did tint the top, but 3m clear window film on the rest of the windows would help prevent greenhouse effect.

I am sure that he wants a solar oven (in colder months) or to retain his body heat, but not both.

Does he benefit from having the open front?

I know that the back makes the largest difference by far, but only having fenders cover 1/4 of the tread doesn't seem helpful.

I wish that I knew the MPG of the scooter, the 2-wheeler, and the 3-wheeler.

Meanwhile, in Lithuania: https://ako.tech/our-story/.

Their story runs parallel to Arcimoto since 2007, but they opted for single-wheel drive and buried the passenger seat.

Notice the auxiliary side-wheels, quite like an oversized version of those which are fitted to bicycles for children.
