I like snow too, but I find it isn't all that much fun to be out in it at -25F.

I agree that the -20F temps we've had this winter in MN were annoying to say the least. that last stretch of 20s-30s has been really nice.
If MN winter never dipped below 0°F I could live with it easily...but then we would complain more about the 100% humidty 90+°F summers even more, lol.
I agree that the snow is fun to drive in, sliding around corners and making reverse gear U-turns in place.

Done yet? Out here in the west, we haven't hardly had any yet :-( I got in about 2 weeks of halfway decent skiing around the New Year, and a day or two after the storm last week, but that's it. I've been weeding the effing garden since January, got @#! crocuses blossoming...

My dogs are still outside at -20F. They cuddle up with the goats so they all stay relatively warm. It funny though how you get used to cold weather, at 32F I don't even wear gloves to do the chores outside anymore...
I have to say with livestock, I'm glad we don't get days of -30F with strong winds, goats aren't quite as cold proof as cattle or horses and you'd go through alot of feed keeping them warm.
Another "cold" story. A few winters ago we went to Cuba for a week and the first day we were there it was 70F and sunny, so we hit the beach... Not one other person was in the water which was a bit warmer than the air... We had a great time!

Just getting started!
Well it's March 2nd, and Maryland is getting its first real snow storm of the season. A real snow storm here mean at least 3 inches.

They just plowed that parking lot 30 minutes before the photo was taken.

I don't mind, I just want to be able to fix stuff in the driveway again.

-25F yesterday morning, -20F yesterday evening and this morning. Daytime wind chill of well below zero. This has basically been a repeat of the winter of 98-99. Early snow, then occassional snow but dry bitter cold all the way till April. Too cold to do anything outside. Too cold to even heat the house with the woodstove without space heater assist. Back then we had advisories to keep water running too, because it was so cold for so long the water mains were freezing in many towns. I agree, I like winter and snow but the constant bitter cold really makes it a drag.
