Drafting Surge

Hey guys just wondering if anyone else driving a hatchback or station wagon with either zigzag tape, a kamm back or similar has noticed what I'm going to call Drafting surge.

since fitting buffet tap on my rear quarter radii to act as a ultra bargin basment VG vvvvvvv

I've notice two things:
1. a noticable increase of dirt directly from the tape but not as much on the centre of the screen as there was before the tape.
2. Drafting surge. basically as i pass a queue of traffic and someone jinks out behind me i feel a sharp jolt forward in acceleration, icould swear the last couple of time I've heard a pop sound too, but I'm guess thats my imagination. My theories for this are a bit random at the moment My main one is:the following car disrupting the near wake and thus reducing my Overall drag load and giving me a temporary imbalance in power/drag compared to speed i was travelling at. The pop i think is coming from the moisture vents on the rear valance moving due to a rapid change in pressure....

anyone else had this ?? theories??

I've noticed similar things but in different situations; as a semi passes me, decel. then accel.
I want to try having a friend tailgate me to see if I coast farther but none of my friends nearby are reckless enough.
