Scangauge Stolen

My Honda Accord window was smashed in and all they stole was my Scangauge II. Hard to justify to buy another one - I loved it - just hate the thought of getting another one stolen. Arrgh.

In my mind:
Level 1: Feather throtle at high gear to keep MPH +/- 5 mph of posted speed while maximizing intantanious MPG.
Level 2: Keep instantaionous MPG below AVG MPG.
Level 3: Keep TPS constant (12-20). I've tried driving 20 miles on highway with TPS = 15 and got 50mpg. --- But max was 64mph and min was 45mph on 60mph highway.
Level 4: (with manual Transmission) Know your vehicle's max BSFC point. Drive there untill reaching 5 mph more then posted and then drive engine off or DFCO untill you slow to 10 mph below posted.

I'm still at level 3 (50mpg) and get some flashing high beams when I'm only doing 45-50 mph on highway. Still waiting till I feel comfortable before moving to level 4. I drive level 4 (sort of) when on 35mph residential streets but not on the highway yet.

I have found when I drive autos I can sort of trick the car into upshifting sooner by backing off the throttle, then slowly pushing it back in till just before the point it down shifts again.

When I head out on the highway I will vary my speed with the traffic. If it is heavy or I am on a one lane with anyone behind me I go the speed limit so as to prevent others from wasting gas by braking for me then accelerating again to get around me, as well as a slow moving vehicle can be a trafic hazard. When trafic is light and there are plenty of lanes around me I will alow myself to drop from the posted speed limit.
