Ecomodders and OBD-II Scanners

Hello Ecomodders,

I'm new here, so forgive me if I break any unwritten rules. I'm wondering if it's safe to assume that most Ecomodders use OBD-II scan tools of some sort, and if you do, what do you use (cable, Bluetooth, any apps) and how well has it worked for you?

I have a 10 dollar Ebay bluetooth one that I use with Torque on my phone (I have the 5 dollar full version, worth it), and an OpenFlash Tablet which I got for flashing my car, but it also can be used to display info from the car.

The cheap bluetooth adapters have a very slow refresh though, but it's hard to say which ones will perform better. I haven't looked into it.

ScangaugeII here. Look around you can find the on this site and Craigslist once in a while for less than retail price.

ELM327 dongle and torque pro. Phones are cheaper than scangauges.

I had a scanguage II first in my explorer, then hard-mounted in my car. I had since sold the car and really miss being able to scroll through all the gauges. I thought about getting some sort of cell-phone based system but I think I will get another scanguage.
