Geez no, you just cover the hole in the radiator support and cut off a piece of the aircleaner. They snorkel probably looses .1% efficiency in aero drag

EVs are not my cup of tea. BTW once while browsing at a site featuring vehicles converted from ICE to all-electric, there was a picture of a Mitsubishi L200 in Australia, which retained a snorkel which was supposed to draw fresher air to cool the motor.

So we just bought a trailer! Unfortunately it weighs around 4700 lbs unloaded, so we cannot use a Rav4 as a tow vehicle for it. We are still figuring out what to get as a tow vehicle. Fortunately, there are many SUVs that have a tow capacity of 5000 lbs, which would be sufficient for this. I was considering an early 2000s Grand Cherokee with the V8, but nothing has been decided yet on that.

Make sure you look at the rating closely. I noticed the 06 Honda Pilot said "Notes: Tow rating for boat trailers only; other ratings apply to travel trailers Factory towing package required."

4700 unloaded is worthless. You're going to be carrying perhaps 100 lbs food 300 lbs water, 100 lbs propane, clothes, toys, junk so 5500 lbs is more like typical but I wouldn't be suprised if 6000 isn't realistic.

I would avoid the 4.7 Dodge. If you go up to the 2005 you can get a 5.7 which isn't perfect but less expensive to repair, has much more power, and doesn't get any worse economy.
4.7 Toyota = wonderful. 4.7 Dodge = worst V8 ever from Chrysler.

This trailer is for business use. Most of the stuff inside is going to be replaced with other things. I wouldn't be surprised if the final setup is less than 5000 lbs loaded.

Would there be any logical reason for that?
