How old are these photos?

this looks like the original mule. That's a distributor on that cam. No cutouts for the headlights.

At least a month old, but published a few days ago. This is the new prototype to be unveiled at CES Jan 12? The headlights are now in the nose. You can see the arches where they will go.

No I don't see arches.
I'd go with 'cut-out'. The rolled edge of the front quarter ends and there is an oval at about 30° to the horizontal.

Well I still don't see them. But I do see how the contours are rounder and the back hatch has been cut. Ok so this is the next prototype. Still would feel a lot better with the new engine and tranny in there.

I find that the Geo metro engine has been used quite a bit in light and ultra light aircraft. If it is trusted that much it says alot for its basic design.

They may be using another engine from a Metro for this? The original headlights in "bumps" but this looks like they are in the upper "grill" opening where you'd expect them to be on virtually all cars out there.

They designed their own engine but it basically looks like an updated Suzuki G10(the 3 cylinder engine found in most metros-. Biggest changes appear to be A/C compressor and multi port sequential fuel injection instead of single point fuel injection. The intake runners also appear to be very long. I'd assume this is for air velocity or turbulence for better air/fuel mixing
