aliens they so stoopid, you can walk up to them backwards while waving goodbye, then club 'em. I'm gonna use pressed aliens for fuel after the peak.

IMHO the end's already been. Happened when people started posting video links instead of writing. The human race worked for what, six thousand years, give or take, to achieve a culture with near-universal literacy, and it's gone in a decade.

I was talking and doing that stuff before that guy had even heard of peak oil. Still plugging along, glad for the company.

Why can't video be the new universal language? Body language is universally readable, and body language is normally more important than the speech it accompanies, so video could really be the "new" universal way to get in touch with people.

Having to watch and listen instead of read the intro here was very tedious. As a medium, video is expensive and fragile, hard to reference and easy to abuse with content that bypasses the critical faculties. See Jerry Mander's book "Four arguments for the elimination of Television. I'm 61, and have never owned a TV until youtube appeared.

Body language conveys emotion, but not rational arguments. A video will express how the author feels about the subject, which I suppose is better if you're chatting with a friend. However, for a rational discussion, body language only gets in the way. Text is the way to go.
I didn't watch the videos.
