Isn't the Scangauge II for vehicles with OBD2? My ol' 1971 VW doesn't have OBD2. Actually, it didn't even come with a temperature sensor! My other car, 1985 Golf has mechanical injection. But in an attempt to get the highest compression, leanest AFR and most advanced ignition timing it would seem advantageous, at least from an experimental and scientific view point, to be able to monitor all 4 individual exhaust temps and all 4 cylinder head temps. Now if only I had an aviation carburetor that I could adjust the AFR from inside the cabin.
