Volt, electric only - '12 Chevrolet Volt Premium
90 day: 132.26 mpg (US)

90 day: 21.48 mpg (US)

In my experience the most common damage to an engine is from contaminated oil. Whether its dirt from a "performance" air filter, water condensation in winter or fuel blow-by. Take care of your oil and it willntake care of you.

I have once seen an engine from a Ford Ranger getting severely damaged after it had the PCV breather fully open, allowing some impurities to get into the oil. There was not even a filter fitted to it...
