Very cool looking bike.

But uncomfortable as heck?

Frank Lee wouldn't put up with that kind of riding position. (Neither would I - forget vanity over comfort!) Recumbents rule!!!

Jay Leno just looked at some retro, custom built, ICE-powered bikes on his site ( Phantom Bikes - Phantom - Jay Leno's Garage ) . The "cafe" style one that looked sort of like that EV was a pain in the nads to ride for more than about 10 seconds.

Certainly looks cool. I'm an upright "wedgie" rider, myself, and thinking that would look neat in a more standard cruiser frame... might take some fitting and a different battery size though.

The aesthetics on it are genius! It looks a lot like my '15 Indian, which is just about the sweetest thing on wheels.

I guess I wouldn't condemn the riding position without... riding it. I've made my own seat for my Songi that is far lower and further back than stock... makes the pedalling ergos bad but the stupid thing was never made for serious pedalling anyway. So what I got out of it was much better comfort, better handling, lower weight, and the aero has to be better too, simply due to a good reduction in frontal area.

My Dear Santa letter requesting one of these is in the mail! I haven't been all that good but Santa forgives right? Or do I have him confused with someone else?

We live a few miles out of town, but only about 3 or 4 from a couple truck stops and a few local general stores... and a McDonalds. If I need to run out for a quick something I can get at those places, it isn't even enough to properly warm up an engine.
That's where I'd like a bike like this, or a scooter/motorcycle conversion.

By the way, the speed limit between here and there is 45, so it wouldn't even have to be super fast, and there *is* a back way.

Clean up the electrical wiring, (optionally) do something about the out-of-place blue-anodized color of the battery packs, and start selling them !

It's hard to see in the OP picture but the ebike has pedals too!
The cure for range anxiety?

appears to be on the limited side.

If there's room in the "tank" I'd consider stuffing more battery capacity in there...

Oh, jeez! Looking more closely at the OP pix, the brakes appear
to be standard bicycle disk in front and caliper in the rear.

I expect they'd be a little sketchy when stopping from 35+
MPH.

Pack a extra set of skivvies; briefs or boxers your choice.

I think the mountain bikers, who see 50 mph going down steep hills, have proven the brakes already.
