extreme camber on motorcycle tires

The key to minimal contact patch rolling resistance? I'd seen one picture but I never knew the story of the Milliken MX-1:

So I guess the camber bois have it right?

With such an extreme camber, I guess resorting to motorcycle tires may make more sense than using Beetle or Jeep CJ tires on motorcycles like it was fairly common in my country until some years ago.

That Miata has rims much wider than the tread. Mounting those tires is tricky. ....like spray hair spray inside the tire and light it tricky.

I once saw a tire tech bounce the rim up and down until both beads caught.

Not exactly what I had in mind when I mentioned using motorcycle tires in a car with such an extreme camber. On a sidenote, once in a while I see cars with that space-saving spare fitted with a motorcycle tire, as it's easier to source than those specific tires meant to be used as a space-saving spare.

I actually just took a much newer space saver and added to a rim that technically doesn't fit my car. I was toying with the motorcycle tire until I sourced both the wheel and tire for free.

I would like to find a pair of space savers for the rear of my beetle, I know they're for temporary use but I once saw a front wheel drove drag racer use at least the wheel for an advantage.

I have already seen FWD drag racers with motorcycle rear tires, yet the fact they've had a quite extreme weight reduction at the rear might've rendered the usage of some cheap motorcycle tires suitable.
