Plus your crash resistance will be bumped up ever so slightly and will rise if more bubble wrap is added later..
It would be wise to not cover the windshield .. completely.

Turbulators are a proven engineering method that reduces drag. The key to successfully implementing turbulators is to engineer it. This requires models and calculations, not simply covering an entire surface with dimples.
A golf ball has dimples around the entire surface because it spins and a new face is constantly presented to the wind. If a golf ball were somehow able to fly straight through the air without turning at all, the dimples would be strategically placed in certain locations, and omitted from others. They probably wouldn't be dimples either.

The dimples on a golf ball are to increase distance by promoting laminar air flow around the ball.
The spin provides the stability (and stops the ball rolling forward after it touches down).

Laminar Boundary Layer
In Ahmed's maters thesis he reports that his pickup truck, under study, maintained 30mm (just over an inch) of laminar BL before transitioning over to a TBL.FastSkinz portrayal seems a bit off the mark.
Hucho says we'd be lucky to see any at all.

That's OK- drivers don't need to see out. The Auto-Braking Safety Feature will take care of it and besides, if someone/something is in front of us it is up to them to get outta the way and if we collide it is their fault. /sarc

The discussion surrounding the merits of a products claims is important.
Closing threads is what authoritarians prefer to do whenever someone says something they disagree with.
