Fender Skirt Transition

I haven't really seen an OEM looking idea for this yet. I was brainstorming and thought of what the piece would need to look like to accomplish my aesthetic goals, while still carrying out the desired function.

I used door trim molding that you can buy at the auto parts store
it kept the plastic from scratching the paint
