You can itemize or take a fixed rate per mile. Obviously the fixed rate is the way to go for a $25,000 deduction off your gross income.

God I love sticking it to the govt.

I own an income tax prep company also, so you can imagine what my tax return looks like and all the substantiation I keep on file. If I ever get audited again, I pity the poor tax man. Last years file alone is 2 file folders not including the bank reconciliation.
