Don't shift. Throw it in 3rd and drag the clutch. Oh wait, that only works in the F250.

One of my grandmothers also used to be an enthusiast of manual transmissions, and I actually don't remember exactly what was the reason which drove her into automatics. I know it was a health-related issue. But anyway, even a cousin of mine who wasn't a car enthusiast at all now only drives automatics. I guess it won't take long for me, my father and 2 uncles to be the last ones who actually drive a manual through my entire extended family.
