First 700+ mile tank*

I just decided to do this. So I did it. But I put an asterisk in the title because I only got 700+ when calibrating the raw odometer data. What I was planning was 700+ on the stock odo, but I had to go to LA today and the car was on fumes, so I had to give up when I was only about 13 miles short. I want to get a 70+ MPG tank next. Maybe two in a row.

Good job. How many gallons does it hold? I just had my 1st 600 mile tank. I'm going to get 700 some day, maybe.

It holds 11.9 US gallons. At about 10.5 gallons it starts to need extra priming of the fuel pump to maintain fuel pressure in between starts. But just one extra key cycle, off/on, primes it fine.

That will be more challenging in my car with an 11.1 gal. tank. When you filled up, how much gas was remaining?

Wooo, very nice. 70mpg is doable, I did it a couple times with my Paseo (I miss that car). It certainly takes a lot of work though. Great job.

Oh, I guess it was about 1.66 gallons left, given tank capacity and fill amount.

Yes! Second 700 mile tank in a row. And this time the 700 miles were on the OEM odometer reading as well as my calibration reading.

Excellent job! I envy you, heck I am still happy with 500+ out of a tank.

Wow very impressive.
What engine is in that car?I skimmed through your build thread and didn't see anything I'm assuming it's the stock motor?Would that be the D15Y7? Ah,I don't know the newer Civic's that well by Engine code, but this would be quite a feat in my HF with the 10 gallon tank!Think I may need the Z1 for that..
