First aeromod for the Celeb - grill block

I made this up last night from a piece of metal siding that was in a dumpster down the road. I folded the edges back 5/8" so it would sit pretty much flush with the rest of the header panel. I transferred the bowtie because I like it. The paint is not an exact match (the cap said it should have been) but it was something I had laying around so this mod was free. I just filled the tank the other day and I gotta go downstate next weekend so lets see how it does. I am keeping a screwdriver and the old grille in the car in case I need it, but Im thinking itll be fine. Considering my 6000 wagon didnt heat up even at 70mph with a snowplow blocking the grille, it breathed from underneath just fine.

Well so far so good today, after 25 miles to work. Absolutely no difference in the temperature gauge. However for the first leg of the trip (very hilly roads mostly north) I noticed a metallic whistling that Id never heard before, when I would get over 35 or 40. However it went away on the second leg of the trip (nearly flat highway mostly west). It is still fastened down well, so maybe it was something to do with the wind direction and how it was hitting the new grille.

Wont know mpg yet at least for a few days.
