Hi Neil -
It's about 350 km from here. I've heard of BlueVelo before - I believe he also used to sell the Go One velo - another gorgeous machine (the nicest looking, IMO). And about $12k new!
The interesting thing is he offers rentals as well. I get to Toronto a couple of times a year to visit friends, and they're even in the same part of the city as Bluevelo. I had forgotten about the rental option, but I really would like to try one.

Evox update!
I've been riding it around for just over a week.
Summary: Much Fun.
Pedaling away, I sometimes get the odd feeling of being on holidays. (That's the sight-seeing nature of the comfy, upright seating position for you.) Just like the BikeE, I'm looking for reasons to hop on the bike to go somewhere. Not that I need reasons.
Size wise, I can say that with the bars & seatpost adjusted just past their maximum extension marks, it fits me OK. But it really is a bit too small for my 5'10". ( I have fantasized about cutting out the bottom bracket and relocating it about 2 inches forward. ...I will not be doing this.)
I will be welding a reinforcement on the seatback support. It was pushed back/bent, over the years, and re-set several times. The metal is getting work fatigued.

So I happened to read yesterday that apparently bearded, geeky guys gravitate to recumbent style bikes.
No beard here, usually, but geekiness aplenty.
With apologies to non-nerd recumbent riders for contributing to the stereotype.

I don't have a beard, either, but, being an engineer, am by definition geeky.
Actually, I gravitated to a recumbent because I play guitar and a recumbent has a lot less stress on the hands and wrists.

What kind of 'bent, sid? For commuting, touring, or just biking around?
(Me: mostly just biking around. Errands & stuff.)

Glad you`re enjoying your new plaything, er... high efficiency transport, MMPG! Sounds like you have the itch to start hacking at it already
Going a little OT here, is CCM still around? Is/was that a manufacturer, or strictly an importer who designed and marketed with the actual manufacture contracted out? Just curious- they don`t grow this far south, so they`re sort of an enigma for me.

CCM = Canadian Cycle & Motor Company Ltd
They started in 1899, apparently: CCM (cycle) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You can still buy new CCM bikes, but they're apparently just a "label" now though - no manufacturing.

Mine is a RANS V-Rex. I've been riding a recumbent since 2001. I use it for exercise (usually do two 60 mile minimum rides a week) and errands.

I'm a beardless, geeky engineer. My recumbent is a Rans Vivo. It is full suspension, 20" wheels.
This one linked is not mine...

Well, since MMPG`s thread has now been pretty well hijacked already....
...My homebrew. I call it We Wrecks.
EDIT: Damn, not having good luck inserting images these days.
