First Timer
Hi Guys,
I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Been lurking for a while, thought I'd better properly sign up. My interest is in electric off-road vehicles.

Welcome to the site!
Is your interest in 2, 3, or 4 wheeled off road vehicles?

Welcome, PingaAus.
Have you got plans to build one?
My EV (ForkenSwift) is nearing its end due to underbody corrosion. No plans to turn it into a field/offroad car though.

Thanks for the welcome guys!
I do have a preference for recreational vehicles And just a general enjoyment for the tinkering side of things. And I say off-road, because a) I'm bit of an mt biking, general outdoorsy fan, and b) it's more challenging to design an off-roader (at least in my mind).
I have been working on a project with a mate of mine over the past couple of years. We couldn't afford to tinker with a car, so we ended up designing and building an off-road electric skateboard instead that combines elements of buggies, mt bikes and of course, boards in general.

Oooo looks like I can't post pic just yet because I've just joined.
Well, if you go to "facebook.com/bajaboard", you'll get our project page with photos of our first-cut build. 12KW, top speed ~80km/h, protective clothing highly recommendable
Our aims at the moment are to get the board riding both ways (easy to get the wheels spinning the other way, but just need to figure out how to re-calibrate steering on the run), and, put in e-diff.
We do have a good idea of how to achieve this, but I'm also just surfing around the forums for a little inspiration

You need 5 posts to be able to post pics. Just make a couple more posts real quick then you should be able to.
