I bought my City-El 3-wheel EV in Cupertino in 2007: and sold it in 2010- and first thing that happened within months is the drive belt snapped and the new owner emailed me "S happens" Nothing I could recommend with German serpentine belts. "Oh well... " That was it- nothing more.

This morning on a TV show - there it was - right back in Cupertino! [ video ]:

Hey! My hometown! And that's my school! In case you didn't noticed, the "awning" that's above them is an all-new solar array, so the electric vehicles really are "green"! Glad to see your old EV is still up and running!

That was my plan in 2007 but the secondary circuit for charging the City El had been converted to computer circuits and relays, the only thing that worked was and adjustable 48 volt charger. Probably changed the City El back to "normal" wires and controller now. I didn't have enough time to add solar or change anything back before my condo was condemmed and torn down, but now it is rebuilt and I have 3 EVs to charge! Santa Cruz has 2 solar awnings 3 years later and several charging stations around town. I was just too early!
