Cool

Former friend and co worker of mines had a drinking problem none knew about. He fell asleep at the intersection a block from where he lived and his parents. His parents saw his vehicle and called the cops thinking he was the victim of a drive by or failed car jacking.

Cops investigated and smelled alcohol, made him do the blow and arrested him in front of his parents for a few charges. He had to sober up in jail and make a lot of change sin his life including giving up driving for a while.

I wonder if his folks would have called the cops had they known?

Many people call the cops before knowing what it is they are calling about.

One time I had this little pile of leaves burning at a rental unit of mine after doing the yard work. So I'm standing there next to it with my rake when I hear all hell break loose- sirens coming from every direction. Hey... they're stopping at my property! Then about a dozen volunteer fireman come sprinting up to me and my widdle pile of leaves. Some dope called them when they saw that little bit of smoke wafting over/through the fence. NO, don't peek around the fence first to see what the hell is going on- call the Fire Department STAT!!!

Flori-DUH. I'm so glad I got away from the people down there. I moved away from Bradenton and don't miss it one bit!

That's not a valid excuse. I gotta admit that I have driven under influence a few times and even in those situations I always applied the parking brake if I had to get out of the car for some reason.

In America parking brakes and turn signals are optional.

In my hometown, people also tend to not use turn signals.

Yes, but did anyone dare to stop at a red light, and hit their "invisible" button?

It is strange how angry some people become when they are at fault.

My wife says that some people seem to regard using turn signals as giving information to the enemy.

No state / country has a monopoly on this.
