Fooling Lambda-sensor for FE?

I was just thinking, what if you fool the lambda-sensor to give false reading, about 100mV less or something, driving it into bigger than 14.7:1 ratio, and so it would run leaner?

I did search a lot about this, but with mixed disgussion. But since it is'nt not much disgussed, should it belong to Unicorn corral?

But i was thinking, that if you just put a variable resistor in between lambda signal and ground, big enough to not to burn it. Would that be enough? ..Or in series with the signal.

And of course, A/F meter so you see the results.

Any thoughts about this?

The problem is that the narrowband sensors are more like rich/lean switches. The sensor makes the switch at 14.7 and no resistor will change that.

Yea, i thought about that too.
Hm, thinking more, it may not work in my car afterall, because i think the ECU will just read is it bigger or smaller than 1.

Or well, i could test it someday and see how the ECU reads it
