Ford Atlas, a joke

Ford Atlas Concept, the sneak peek at the future of F-Series pickups | Motoramic - Yahoo! Autos

Shutters in the wheels? you've got to be kidding me. They could achieve the same benefit in so many other ways. Maybe the Big Car makers really don't know what they're doing

Its just a concept car. You're looking at a heavily disguised 2014 F150. This truck will be getting the same 3.2L 5cyl diesel as the new US market Transit van.

calm down. You make it sound like that is the only thing. That is what the writer wrote about.
Maybe......because no one else has written about it .... or done it. Who knows?

Let me think....Ford made a decission not to take a bail out...... IMHO they do know what they are doing.

(with age you learn perspective)

I think there are some good ideas there. It is a concept after all. I love the vertical tailgate extension. The drop-down air dam is a nice touch, but is two inches really worth all that? Just make it static and save the trouble...

Ugly??
You're tucked! Lol
That is what a truck should look like!
And it is a concept....manufacturers typically test market radical ideas with them, ie. Wheel shutters.

Two inches is the difference between scraping off the airdam on a hump and clearing a small log. Ford uses an ultra-low airdam on the Ford Explorer for aerodynamic reasons, and it scrapes on everything.

Nice touch, but there's so much more they can do, aerodynamically.

I never understood why ford didn't put the ecoboost engine in the Raptor. Makes one hell of a truck and much more fuel efficient than the 6.2. Hopefully they'll fix that mistake on the next generation.

You're joking. That isn't a truck, it's a 4-door sedan on steroids, except somebody forgot to install the trunk lid.

It also needs to have about a 25% horizontal slice taken out...
